What goes in a company profile.
Every example on this page uses the same six sections: who the company is, what it does, what it has done, its registrations, its people, and how to reach it. Two of those deserve more care than the rest.
The compliance section carries the most weight if you sell to businesses or government. This is where a buyer checks whether they may deal with you at all: your CIPC registration number, income tax number, B-BBEE status, CSD supplier number if you supply the state, and any industry registration: CIDB grading for construction, PSIRA for security. An evaluator who can verify these in one glance moves your submission forward; one who has to email you for them often doesn't.
The about section works best specific and short. “Started in 2021 as a two-man paving team” says more than a paragraph about vision and excellence. Say when you started, what you own, how many people you employ, and where you work. Numbers beat adjectives.
The rest is quicker: services as a plain list, track record as a short table of projects or contracts with values and dates, directors with one line each, and contact details someone can actually reach you on. Leave out what you don't have yet. A young company with two real projects reads better than one padded with promises.
