Partner programme
Every business you send us pays you for a year.
Govchain registers South African companies and keeps them compliant: CIPC, SARS and payroll filings, each one reviewed by a registered practitioner before it goes in. Refer a customer and you earn 20% of our net fees on everything they buy for twelve months. A link is enough to start.

Who this fits
- Payments and POS
- Merchants whose application stalls on a CIPC mismatch, and new traders who need a company before they can take cards.
- Lenders
- Declined applicants, where the decline was the paperwork and not the business.
- Accountants and bookkeepers
- Clients who need a company, a tax number or an overdue filing handled without it landing on your desk.
- Banks and fintech onboarding
- Business account applicants with an out-of-date company record.
- Software with SME customers
- Customers who start businesses inside your product.
How it works
- 1
Get your link
Sign up and your tracked link is ready the same minute. Put it wherever the moment is: your product, your emails, your decline page.
- 2
Send a customer
They sign up with Govchain through your link. That attaches them to you for twelve months, whatever they buy and whenever they buy it.
- 3
Get paid monthly
A statement each month showing what you earned, paid on revenue that was actually received and not refunded.
What you earn
On every order
20% of net fees, for 12 months
Net of government fees and VAT. On a new company registration that is about R150 on the day the company registers, and about R220 across the first year as the business files its annual return, beneficial ownership and tax with us, closer to R390 when the business is trading. A business that comes to us already trading is worth around R600 in its first year, because it arrives with filings to catch up.
On subscriptions
20% of every month’s fee
Govchain Pro, monthly bookkeeping with tax handled, and Govchain Payroll both bill monthly. They are newer products we have not marketed widely yet, and they sit inside the same trail: a referred business that subscribes earns you a share of every month it stays, for the twelve months.
| New company registrations | R22,000 |
|---|---|
| New registrations that go on to trade | R39,000 |
| Existing businesses already trading | R60,000 |

Three ways to work together
Start with the referral tier: nothing for your engineering team to do, and it tells both of us whether your customers want this. The other two put the filing inside your own product.
| 1. Referral | 2. Embedded | 3. White-label | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Anyone whose customers start or run companies. Where every partner begins. | Platforms where sending a customer to another site costs conversion, or that already hold the customer’s details. | Products where compliance is a permanent feature under your own name. |
| Who owns the customer | Govchain. We onboard, support and file. | Shared. Your brand on the flow, our team behind it. | You, entirely. We are invisible. |
| Who bills | Govchain | Either. Keep the 20% trail and we bill, or buy at a wholesale discount, bill the customer yourself and set your own price. | You |
| You earn | 20% of net fees on every order for 12 months, or pass it to your customer as a discount | The same trail, or your own margin on wholesale | Your margin on wholesale |
| You build | Nothing. A link or a code. | Our hosted flow with pre-filled details. Optional status updates for your team. | An API integration, against our documentation. |
| We contact your customer | Yes, they are ours to support | Not under the reseller option | Never |
Two packs to start with
- Start a registered business
- Pty Ltd registration, SARS income tax number, registration documents, share certificates, B-BBEE affidavit where the company qualifies.
- Get verified
- For a business whose CIPC record is blocking something: status check, documents retrieved, director and address changes, overdue annual returns and beneficial ownership brought current, reinstatement where deregistered. If you run onboarding or KYC, this is the one: a stalled application is usually a fixable record.
Straight answers
- What if they already use Govchain?
- Only new customers count, and we can tell at signup. You are never paid for someone we already had, and never blamed for it either.
- Do you need my customer data?
- No. Your customer signs up with Govchain directly through your link, so nothing moves between us and there is no data-sharing agreement to negotiate.
- How fast is it?
- We quote our own review and filing times up front. CIPC and SARS processing times are theirs, and we say so rather than promise what we cannot control.
- Is there a minimum, or a fee to join?
- No, and no. The programme is non-exclusive both ways.
- What if we cannot accept referral fees?
- Pass the 20% to your customer as a discount instead. Same link, same tracking, same monthly statement; the money goes to them rather than to you.
